Instage Studio is a Mac application that records, edits, and exports screen captures locally on the user's Mac. We respect your privacy and have designed Instage to keep your data on your device.
What we don't do
- We do not collect personal information.
- We do not transmit your recordings, screenshots, or projects to any server.
- We do not track usage, location, behavior, or device identifiers.
- We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- We do not require an account.
What's stored locally
Instage Studio stores the following on your Mac, never elsewhere:
- Project files, recordings, and exported videos.
- App preferences (e.g. last-used export folder, panel positions).
- In-app purchase state managed by Apple's StoreKit framework.
In-app purchases
Instage Studio offers a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase to unlock export. The transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We never receive, store, or have access to your payment information. Apple's privacy policy applies to that transaction.
System permissions
Instage Studio requests access to your screen, camera, and microphone only when you actively use the corresponding features. These requests go through macOS's standard system prompts and you can revoke them at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy we will update the date above and post the new version at this URL. Continued use of Instage Studio after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
